Licensed Psychological Associate
In accompanying clients on their journey to find healing, wholeness, and personal fulfillment, my hope is that I can support and encourage each person to grow in their understanding of themselves – mind, body, spirit – and their relationships with others. Through a holistic view, emphasizing strengths, positive characteristics, and skill development, I seek to help people overcome their difficulties, improve their mental health, and gain a better sense of their purpose, value, and meaning. I utilize an integrative approach including components from various theories including Psycho-Dynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, FamilySystems, and Humanistic, client centered perspective.
Having practiced psychology since 1990, I draw on a wealth of professional and life experiences that equip me to identify issues accurately and insightfully. I have worked most recently in private practice providing psycho-educational evaluations for students in school settings. I have also worked in public mental health centers, private psychiatric hospital, SNF and ICF care facilities, and group home settings. Services I have provided include individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy, psycho-educational and personality testing, as well as in-patient intake/crisis evaluations. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults on a range of issues including anxiety disorders, attention disorders, autism, behavioral disorders, developmental disabilities, eating disorders, geriatric issues, giftedness, grief/ bereavement, learning differences /disabilities, mood disorders, parenting difficulties, personality disorders, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, thought disorders, and trauma recovery. I meet with clients by appointment on Mondays and Wednesdays.
